Fiber Fun

Yarn is made from all kinds of raw fibers: wool, alpaca, silk, paper, recycled and synthetic materials. You can use these fibers for creating other things, not just handmade garments. We offer classes that can help you explore fiber in exciting new ways.

Fine Felting

With the simplest of materials, you can create the loveliest of fabrics. In this class you will learn the basics of making a supple fusion between wool roving, bits of yarn, and a foundation of silk. Once created, the felted fabric can be used on its own (e.g. as a scarf or table runner), or as embellishments to other pieces. You are only limited by your own imagination! Bring a selection of yarns yarns you wish to include in your felted class project. Class size is limited to six students.
