Activities at the retreat include lots of learning from special guests: noted authors, designers, industry representatives and even a local fiber farmer.
In retreats past, we've featured Nancy Bush, author of Folk Knitting in Estonia and instructor; Lorna Miser, knitting designer, instructor, and founder of Lorna's Laces Yarns, Chris Bylsma, a talented designer and instructor; Ann Norling, the popular pattern designer; and Frederikka Payne, owner of Aurora Yarns.
This year's (2006) special guest was once again Nancy Bush. She very skillfully led 45 people through their Estonian sock.
The pictures that follow are from our 2005 retreat.
