The colorful yarns that stripe offer a wonderful opportunity- and challenge - to make the most of the striping and try your hand at several fun techniques at the same time.

We created a bear-size vest in class (won't they be well dressed) and learned the following techniques: cast on with a crochet cast-on, shaped points, creating plaid fabric without carrying colors, knit the whole vest in a tube to the shoulders, no-machine crochet steek, and I-cord bind-off for the edges. It was a great learning experience.
