I knit this afghan in a feather and fan pattern in Laurel from Schaefer Yarns. This cotton is one of my favorites. Knitting with it is a pleasure and it has great washability.

The story of this gift to my friend, Barb, is that she has been one of those kind of folks who just does things....and no big deal! She has done many acts of kindness for me over the years....and one of those most endearing to me is that after my dad died she had his name added to the War Memorial in a neighboring town to our home town in Eastern Colorado. A wonderful thanks to Barb....and a gift long overdue!
