The Knit Dance!

The knitting rule for picking up stitches around edges is :

pick up one stitch per stitch when picking up along straight edges

or

pick up three stitches for every four rows...this prevents fanning!

Remember that stitches are oblong and not square and that is what requires us to pick up and to think of the 1,2,3 pick up stitches dance.
