This lovely gauntlet began its knitted life as a sock from Nancy Bush's Vintage Sock book. I was knitting away lamenting, "would this sock ever be done!?"  Almost immediately upon suggestion that I make it into a gauntlet the thumbhole began. I love these gauntlets.
